This site provides a complete history of mankind's first civilizations. We understand that many people, though they may have an interest in mankind's beginnings, do not wish to invest the great amount of time necessary to research it. That's where we come in, we have researched and compiled the best histories of "Ancient Man and his First Civilizations". In an attempt to not only make history enlightening; but also interesting and enjoyable. We present these histories to you in an Interwoven running Chronology Format. That is to say, we are telling all of the histories at the same time, (sort of). This format provides a wonderful opportunity to see how developments in one place, effects what happens in another.
Needless to say, these histories out of necessity, must be condensed. However, great care has been taken to insure that this presentation delivers accurate history, and preserves a true "sense" of each civilization. Our presentation is comprehensive, and covers All of man's original civilizations. For those with dial-up internet connections, we apologize in advance. We felt that in order to present a true sense of these civilizations, we would have to supply pictures of the people that we are discussing, so we added pictures, lots of them. Consequently those with dial-up connections, may experience a slight delay in page-loading. Please be patient, we hope that you will find the second or two that you wait for the page to load, to be well worth it.
